STAGE 1 – Clogheen to Goatenbridge (12.5km)
Check in Goatenbridge 9-9.30am, bus to Clogheen, walk to Goatenbridge.
The first section of the East Munster Way starts in Clogheen, one of the major National Way Marked Trail junctions in Ireland, where it will also pick up the Blackwater/Avondhu Way trail as it heads for Kilballyboy Woods where it leaves behind the Blackwater Way trail and then picks up the Tipperary Heritage Way then onto an open mountain section under the renowned beauty spot The Vee, folowing through a remote forest crossing pretty mountain streams as it wanders its way towards Goatenbridge.
