Darby’s Bed Loop starts and finishes in the village of Galbally Co.Limerick.
The loop follows forest roads, tracks and grassy paths up to a megalithic passage known as Duntryleague but known locally as Darby’s Bed, it is estimated to be 6,000 years old. Also on the loop is a circular mound dating back 4,000 years to the Bronze Age. The loop also has spectacular views of the Galtees and Ballyhouras that will gladden your heart as the route makes its way back to Galbally village.
