The Liam Lynch Loop brings you off the beaten track, taking in a section of the East Munster Way ( 75 km National Waymarked Trail from Carrick-on-Suir to Clogheen).
The route follows forest tracks to the impressive Liam Lynch monument, whose death nearby on the mountains was one of the last acts of the Irish Civil War. From the monument there are splendid views of the Galty Vee Valley.
The trail continues with views into the Knockmealdown Mountains before descending back to the trailhead.
