The Devil’s Bit is 478m above sea level. The mountain is full of history and legend. According to local legend the mountain got its name when the devil took a bite out of it and spat the Rock of Cashel from his mouth to where it now stands.
We will start our walk at Barnane car park after registration/sign in at Inch Community Hall between 9.30am-10am.
Refreshments will be provided in hall after walk.

Keeper Hill stands at 694m in the Silvermine Mountains. It is the highest mountain in the wider Shannon area.
We will start our walk at Doonane car park after registration/sign in at Rearcross Community Hall between 9.30am-10am.

Slievenamon stands at 721m (2,365ft). At the top are dramatic views of Tipperary, Kilkenny and Waterford.
We will be starting our walk from the village of Kilcash after registration/sign in Kilcash Hall between 9.30am -10am.

Knockmealdown 794m (2,605ft) is the highest peak of the Knockmealdown Range of mountains, located on the border of Tipperary and Waterford. The peak itself is in Co.Waterford and is the highest point in that county.
We will start our walk at the car park overlooking Bay Lough on the Vee Gap after registration/sign in from Clogheen Community Hall between 9.30am -10am.

Galtymore 919m (3,015ft) is on the border between Tipperary and Limerick. It is the highest point in both counties. It is the tallest inland mountain in Ireland.
We will start our walk from the “Black Road” after registration/sign in from Burncourt Community Hall between 9.30am -10am.

Fitness: You need to be at least of moderate fitness and not know of any reason why you should not participate in this physical activity.
Weather conditions: In the event of adverse weather conditions a decision on safety grounds may be made by the Walk Director to curtail the walk or use an alternative route.
FAQ
Can I register on the day?
Limited no. of places will be available on the day. Registration on the day is €30 per walk
Will the walks be guided?
Yes, all walks will be guided with little breaks along the way to keep everyone together.
What should I bring?
You should bring appropiate clothing and footwear. The weather can change quickly. Hiking boots essential. Hiking sticks can be a good aid going up and down. Fully charged mobile phone essential. Water is also advisable.
Is there a lower age limit?
Every U16 must be accompanied by one adult.
